A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. James Jim Edward Nugent, 81, at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau. Father Ed Degeyeter will officiate. Visitation will be held from 7:00AM until the time of the services on July 11, 2013. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Nugent died Monday July 8, 2013. He was a native of Maurice and a resident of Couteau.. Mr. Nugent served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his two sons Tim and his wife Dodie Nugent of Couteau, and Tyrus and his wife Cyd of Houston; his grandchildren Brittney, Brandi, Treyton, Rosanna, Brock, Adrienne, Cecile, and Maxim Nugent; one brother Robert Nugent; two sisters Rose Mary Thibodeaux, and Lucille Price. He was preceded in death by wife Cynthia Nugent; his parents Edward and Rose Dubus; one brother Maxim Mackie Nugent.
