Marie Bailey Minvielle

Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Marie Bailey Minvielle age 100, will be held Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at 1:00PM with Father Neil Pettit officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church from 12:00 noon until time of Service. Pallbearers will be Michael Baumgartner, Dr. Douglas de Mahy, Eugene Minvielle IV, Joseph Puhekker, Charlie Gene Bradley, and Charles M. Bradley. Survivors include her son Eugene Thomas Minvielle and his wife Denise of Abbeville, two daughters Marie and her husband, Douglas de Mahy of Lafayette, Louise and her husband Michael Baumgartner of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Five grandchildren, Eugene Beau Minvielle IV and his wife Claire of Lafayette, Aimee and her husband Joe Puhekker of Abbeville, Amelie de Mahy, Mary Kathryn (Katie) de Mahy, and Elizabeth de Mahy all of Berkeley, California. Three great-grandchildren, Bailey Puhekker, Alexandria (Allie) Puhekker both of Abbeville, Louisiana and Charles Edward Minvielle of Lafayette, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Minvielle, Jr. and her parents, William W. and Louise Sabatier Bailey. The family would like to thank Berteen Washington, Mary Belle Campbell and all the caregivers, especially, Cottye Peters.
