Martha Rodriguez

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Loreauville and a resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Rodriguez passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 6:30 AM at her residence.

She loved crocheting, camping and traveling. Her activities were gardening, bird watching, working cross word puzzles and listening to Cajun French music. Her achievements were her children, grandchildren and her Golden Retriever, Trey.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Allen Rodriguez of St. Martinville; her daughters, Patricia R. Galos and her husband Nick of Tavares, FL, Sandra R. Gaspard and her husband Randy, Sharon R. Peltier and her husband Brent all of New Iberia and Debbie R. Trahan and her husband Travis of St. Martinville; her brothers, Wilfred Escagne of Loreauville, Albert Escagne of Coteau Holmes, Robert Escagne and Joe Escagne both of New Iberia; her sisters, Cecile Blanchard of Loreauville and Rita Abshire of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Scott Allen Michael Fabre, Shannon T. Fabre, Nicholas Galos, III, Anthony W. Galos, Brandon Gaspard, Megan Gaspard, Shani Dodge, Brittany Peltier, Ashely Champagne, Kirsten Trahan and Travis Trahan, II and her great grandchildren, Mallory, Emma and Camille Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Moise and Marie Ella Desormeaux Escagne and her grandchild, Shane Michael Fabre.

Pallbearers will be Nick Galos, Jr., Randy Gaspard, Brent Peltier, Travis Trahan, Scott Fabre and Brandon Gaspard.
