Betty G. Fourroux

Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Betty Gomez Fourroux, 85, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Sue Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in Loisel Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services.

A native of Patterson and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Fourroux passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10:34 AM in a Jeanerette nursing facility.

Mrs. Fourroux was the store manager of Gomez Army Store in Jeanerette for over 30 years. She loved dancing, crocheting, gardening, exercising and believed in a healthy lifestyle.

She is survived by her children, Ada Palemro and her husband Tony of Vidalia and her son Lynn Fourroux and his wife Joy of Hammond, IN; her sister, Tommie Nell Gutzman of Golden, CO; her grandchild, Marc Palemro of Jeanerette, Anthony and Allison Palemro and her niece, Linda Lancon of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Clemence Hebert Gomez and her sisters, Dixie Lee Lancon and Jermaine Gomez.
