Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Carl R. Morein the former Patsy LeBlanc, 76, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Visitation will be held David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A native and resident of Abbeville Mrs. Morein died at 2:50AM on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was known for her enjoyment of Reading, doing puzzles, sewing and playing chicken foot with her sisters, and playing with her dogs. She also enjoyed her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Carl Edward Morein of New Iberia and Kenneth Patrick Morein and his wife Elizabeth of Henderson, TX; five daughters, Lisa M. Barton of New Iberia, Suzanne M. Guillory of Youngsville, Stephanie M. Robichaux of Abbeville, Donna Morein and her husband Rene Rodrigues of Abbeville, and Kathy LaCaze and her husband Derek of Nunez; a brother, James E. LeBlanc of Mamou; two sisters, Myrna Callora and her husband Frank of Lafayette and Norma Kay Gabbert and her husband Jerry of Lake Charles; sixteen grandchildren, Jeremy Guillory, Devin Guillory, Jared Barton, Blake Morein, Brock Morein, Natasha Morein, Joshua Morein, Lucas Morein, Shaun Morein, Brad Morein, Jessica Morein, Katie Robichaux, Jimmy Robichaux, Skylor LaCaze, Derrick Sellers, and Jade Navarro; and Eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Morein; her parents, E.J. Ting and Annie Bonvillian LeBlanc; a daughter, Renee Morein; and a sister, Debra Reed. Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Barton, Blake Morein, Brock Morein, Shaun Morein, Joshua Morein, and Brad Morein. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Skylor LaCaze, Lucas Morein, and Jimmy Robichaux The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brandy LaCaze for the care and patience she showed to their mother.
