Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Sheila B. Menard, 55, at 1:00PM, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 10:00AM to 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM, and will resume on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 9:00AM until time of service. Burial will follow in the Landry Cemetery in Erath.

She was a native of Abbeville and a resident of Erath. She worked in the seafood industry as a head grader.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Allen Menard of Erath; a daughter, Tabitha Marie Bertrand Landry from Erath; one son, Eric Allen Menard of Erath; two sisters, Deloris Menard and Wanda Louise Bertrand of Meaux ; three brothers, Larry Paul Bertrand of Meaux, Jacen Lee Bertrand of Abbeville, and Hanson Reed Bertrand of Erath; and one granddaughter, Mersadies Williams of Erath.

Pallbears will be Eric Menard, Harley Bertrand, Lucas Bertrand, Mitchell Bertrand, Brandon Menard, and Coy Darby. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrin Menard, Regan Breaux, Beau Bertrand, and Derek Touchet.

She was preceded in death by, her parents, Paul Irin and Ida Mae Ditch Bertrand, one brother, Joseph Rand Bertrand, and one nephew, Dwayne Menard.
