Mr. Callaway was a native of Findlay, Ohio and a resident of Erath, LA. He was a paint and body person for Hancock County Garage and Acadian Ambulance.
He is survived by his long time companion, Barbara Leger of Erath; three sons , Perry Callaway of Kaplan, LA, Luke Callaway of Abbeville, LA, and Marcus Callaway of Erath, LA; five sisters, Lynnie K. Madison of Findlay, Ohio, Georgia Fehnel of Abbeville, LA, Sue Clostio of Mouton Cove, LA, Janie Cannella of Abbeville, LA, and Jodi Gaubert of Abbeville, LA; one brother, Sherman Callaway of Erath, LA; three step-daughters, Dawn Thibodeaux and her husband, David of Erath, LA, Kimberly Bergeron and her husband Jeremy of Borne, Texas, and Nicole Landry of Erath, LA; one step-son, Paul Leger and his wife, Mandie of Erath, LA; and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Michelle Callaway and his Parents, Sherman and Betty Lou Hudson Callaway.
Pallbearers will be David Thibodeaux, Jeremy Bergeron, Paul Leger, Perry Callaway, Marcus Callaway, and Luke Callaway.
Honorary Pallbears will be Greg Gaubert, Brian Wilkerson, Charles Cannella, and Raywood Wilkerson.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to assist with funeral expenses.
David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
