Funeral Services for Curnes Joseph Hebert, 87, will be held at David Funeral Home of Youngsville, LA on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM Saturday morning with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00AM and will continue until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow the service at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Hebert, a native of Youngsville, LA and a longtime resident of Lafayette, LA. passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Magnolia Estates in Lafayette, LA. Before his retirement Mr. Hebert was a truck driver for Sunbeam Bakery and Acadiana Bottling; a veteran of the United States Navy having served honorably during World War II; Lifetime Member of VFW Post # 9210 in Youngsville, LA and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by two daughters, Brunella Fischer and Heddie LeBlanc and husband, Eugene; two sons, Leland A. Hebert and Glynn Maturin and wife Leslie; seven grandchildren, Wendy Rodriguez and husband, Rikky, Kem Singletary and husband Ken, Casey Hebert, Katy Lorenz and husband Ronnie, Sara Bryan and husband Michael, Jennifer Garcille and husband Jason and Shelly Maturin and wife Brenda; eleven great grandchildren, Theresa Singletary, Carlito Rodriguez, Laurel and Brett Lorenz, Jack and Emily Garcille, Anne and Ellen Maturin, Mike , Simon and Sophia Bryan; one nephew, Butch Decou and one niece, Sharon Broussard. He was preceded in death by his wife Levie Maturin Hebert; parents, Albert and Angeline Guidry Hebert; son-in-law John Fischer; daughter-in-law Jewell Maturin; sister Stella Clostio and two brothers, Clifton Hebert and Sham Hebert. Pallbearers will be Glynn Maturin, Shelly Maturin, Ronnie Lorenz, Leland Hebert, Eugene LeBlanc, Michael Bryan and Butch Decou.
