Paul David Lopez

Visitation will be on Monday, August 26, 2013, from 9:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday, August 26, 2013, at 10:00 AM.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Tampa, FL, Paul passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013, at his residence.

Paul enjoyed cooking, fishing, attending football games, billiards and telling colorful stories that would make you laugh. He loved football and was a die hard Saints and LSU fan. He had a fantastic memory when it came to family stories and football trivia. Paul was very generous, kind, was loved by many and he will be missed.

He is survived by his parents, Sherry Arthur Lopez and Gaelyn Melancon Lopez of New Iberia, LA: his life partner Bret Menard of Tampa, FL; his daughter, Brittnay Menard of Carencro, LA; his son, Bret Jacob Menard of Tampa, FL; his brothers, William Lopez and his wife Catherine Lavergne Lopez, Scott Lopez and his wife Mary Labiche Lopez and Marc Lopez and wife Paige Trahan Lopez; his sisters, Susan Lopez and her companion Shane LeBlanc all of New Iberia, LA and Anne Lopez and her companion Eric Markovics of California; his nieces and nephews and a circle of friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Bryan E. Lopez; his paternal grandparents, Esbelle and Amy Hebert Lopez and his maternal grandparents, Leonce Melancon and Bernadette Chaisson.
