Kaplan " A private gathering for Mrs. Ronald Sparkman the former Elaine Ferrell, 57, will be held from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at David Funeral Home of Abbeville. Interment will be held at a later date. Mrs. Sparkman a native of Saybrook, IL and a resident of Kaplan died at her residence on Thursday, August 16, 2013. She was an employee of Wal Mart in Abbeville and was known for her enjoyment of doing crafts. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ronald Sparkman of Kaplan; a son, Steven Sparkman of Kaplan; three daughters, Sara and her husband Dr. Claude Meeks of Lafayette, Jessica and her husband Chad Clampitt of Kansas City, MO, and Alycia Sparkman of Austin, TX; her mother, Lacene Dillow Ferrell of Santa Cruz, CA; six grandchildren, Zev Brown, Alexis Meeks, Brooke Meeks, Peyton Meeks, Taidin Clampitt, and Kailin Clampitt; and two brothers, Randy Ferrell and Jeff Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Fulton Ferrell. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
