Jeanerette "A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Michael Anthony Magoo Brignac, age 44, Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 2:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux to serve as the officiant. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Wednesday August 21, 2013, at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with the recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 8:00 AM till time of service. Native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Michael passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at his residence at 10:15 AM. Magoo as he was affectionately known, worked as a barber for 23 years alongside his father at Brignac Barber Shop. He love fishing, being with his friends, and loved cooking and love his dogs, especially Duke . Most of all Michael just simply adored and loved his granddaughter Avery Elyse Brignac. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Camille Stansbury Brignac; his parents, Norman Brignac and Barbara Vidrine Brignac; his son, Brett Michael Brignac; daughters, Hannah Renee and Malyse Jeanne Brignac; granddaughter, Avery Elyse Brignac; brothers, Jules and Brent Brignac all of Jeanerette; nephews, Bryan Brignac of Jeanerette; Brock Brignac and wife Ashley of St. Martinville; Brandon Brignac and significant other Michelle of Youngsville; Brennan Brignac of Covington; and niece, Tara Brignac. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jules Brignac and Elizabeth Soileau Brignac; maternal grandparents Schurley Vidrine and Agnes Sebastien Vidrine; and his father-in-law Johnny Ray Stansbury. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Brignac, Jules Brignac, Kirk Landry, Dwayne Larive, Chad Stansbury, Brandon Brignac, Bryan Brignac and Brock Brignac. Serving as honory pallbearers will be Brennon Brignac, Charles Link Melancon, Kip Gilligan, Pat Napier and Michael Stansbury.
