A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Marshall John Robertson, 69, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, LA at 12:00PM Thursday, August 29, 2013 with Rev. Bill Melancon as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 8:00AM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00AM and will continue until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Erath, LA. Marshall was a native of Delcambre, LA and a resident of Erath, died Sunday August 25, 2013 at Lafayette General Hospital. He was a Veteran of the US Army, and a avid gun enthusiast, he retired from Kerr Megee Oil and Gas Co. then went on to become a consultant for the Wood Group Oil and Gas Service Co. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 41 yrs., Theresa Pillette Robertson of Erath; his son John and his wife Natasha Robertson of Youngsville; three sisters Janell Wilson of Abbeville, Melva Zenon of Grosse Isle, and Irene Williams of Abbeville; two brothers Howard Robertson Jr. of Erath, and Maxie Robertson of Lafayette; and his three grandchildren Avri, Lexie and Dylan Robertson all of Youngsville. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Nellie Rankin Robertson. Pallbearers will be Loveless Zenon, Greg Pillette, Andre Williams, Kevin Pillette, Wilson Pillette Jr. and Jonathon Williams Honorary Pallbearers will be Howard Robertson Jr., Maxie Robertson, Arthur Pillette Sr., Claude Pillette Sr., and Joseph Pillette Sr. David Funeral Home of Erath, LA (337)937-0405, 209 E.
