Susan Mestayer Patin

Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Raymond Patin, the former Susan Mestayer, 51, on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 7:30 AM until services with a rosary prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Susan Mestayer Patin died on September 1, 2013 at the age of 51. Susan is survived by her husband of 29 years Raymond and their three children, Jamie, Karen and Grant. Susan was born on January 20, 1962 in Loreauville, Louisiana and is the second of seven children. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Mestayer and is survived by her mother, Betty and her siblings, Charlene, John Thomas, Peggy, Stanley, Paul and Terry. Susan graduated from Loreauville High School in 1980 and graduated university of Southwestern Louisiana Suma Cum Laude in 1984. Susan married her husband Raymond Patin on June 16, 1984. Susan was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer on June 11, 2013 and is lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and teacher. The family would like to graciously thank the entire Whitcomb Elementary School staff, especially her kindergarten coworkers, for the loving and heartfelt support shown Susan during this most difficult time.
