A life long resident of Erath, Mrs. Vincent passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 4:50 AM. Eve was the beloved wife of her husband of 61 years, a mother, and Mom Mom to her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her greatest joys were gatherings with her family including a monthly praying of the rosary with them. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, and was instrumental in the formation of Erath's Town & Country Home Demonstration Club under the Vermilion Parish Cooperative Extension Service. She was a member of the Erath Catholic Daughters, and also had a special compassion for the elderly.
She is survived by two daughters, Lee Anna Vincent and Martine Vincent Landry; two sons, Steve Vincent and wife Gwen, and Malvin Vincent and wife Rita; eleven grandchildren, Marcelle Miguez, Kaye M. Chaline, Blake Vincent, Laurie V. Touchet,Amy V. Nunez, Bess Vincent, Hannah V. Breslow, Bethany Hebert, Bridget L. Saunier, Brent Landry, and Brett Landry; seventeen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; her one sister Rose M. Broussard; and her special caregiver Shirley Monceaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Vincent, grandson Paul Vincent, parents Elito Mallet and Martine Faulk Mallet, and three brothers, Pierre (Ono) Mallet, Sidney Mallet, & Adam Mallet.
Visitation will begin at Davids Funeral Home in Erath on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 3 PM to 9 PM with a recitation of the rosary by the Catholic Daughters at 5 PM, and a family rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 8 AM until time of the services.
Pallbearers for the service will be her sons, Steve and Malvin Vincent; grandsons Blake Vincent, Brent and Brett Landry, and her great grandson Ryne Esponge.
