Funeral services for Mr. Sheldon Randolf Primeaux, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, at David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Elder Jonathan S. Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at Landry Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, September 8, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will resume on Monday, September 9, 2013, from 8 p.m. until time of service. A native and resident of Erath, Louisiana, Mr. Primeaux died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 8:24 a.m. at his residence. Mr. Primeaux was a self-employed automotive mechanic. He was a member of the American Motor Club, Assemblies of the Yahweh, and AARP, and many charity organizations. He is survived by seven sons, Sheldon Primeaux and his wife Paula of Lafayette, Leonard Primeaux and his wife Shirley of Cade, Eric Primeaux of Delcambre, David Primeaux and his wife Lorrie of Milton, Sedrick Primeaux and his wife Melinda of Abbeville, Mark Primeaux and his wife Nicole of Erath, and Samson Primeaux of Erath; six daughters, Rosemarie Hebert and her husband Rickey of Abbeville, Anna Rescigno and her husband Robert of Bethel, Pennsylvania, Darlene Jackson and her husband George of Houma, Lucille Holler of Erath, Francine Kennedy and her husband Robert of Youngsville, and Tabitha Primeaux of Erath; one brother, Earl Primeaux of Erath; three sisters, Vivian Prejean of Broussard, Rachel Frederick of Erath, and Joyce Trumps of Egan; twenty-nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Champagne Primeaux; his parents Edna Thibodeaux Primeaux and Loveless Primeaux; one son, John Primeaux; two brothers, Larry Primeaux and Glynn Primeaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Sheldon Primeaux, Leonard Primeaux, Eric Primeaux, David Primeaux, Sedrick Primeaux, Mark Primeaux, and Samson Primeaux. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
