Roger Joseph Desormeaux

Henry " Funeral Services for Mr. Roger Joseph Desormeaux, 67, will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, September 16, 2013 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, September 15, 2013 beginning at 3:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. The funeral home will remain open all night until the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Erath and resident of Henry Mr. Desormeaux died at 12:02AM on Friday, September 13, 2013 at his residence. He was a trapper and a carpenter. He was also known for his enjoyment of playing cards, the casino, riding horses, and spending time with his family. He is survived by two sisters, Pearl Marceaux of Abbeville and Deanna Simon of St. Martinville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his parents, Gordy Desormeaux and Adonisia Menard Doucet; a brother, Curtis Desormeaux; two sisters, Betty Byron and Barbara Babin; and his step father, Clodore Doucet. Serving as pallbearers will Harry Touchet, Cleo Babin, Audie Morceaux, David Boudreaux, Blaise Touchet, Gordy Desormeaux, and Clifton Byron, Jr. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
