Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Eleanor Stevens, 88, on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at 1:30 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Entombment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Eleanor passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 9:45 AM at her residence. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Heritage Manor Nursing Home on Bayard Street in New Iberia.

She is survived by her sister, Theresa Prados of Jeanerette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clophas Stevens and Mary Legnon Stevens; her daughter, Janet Ann Derise; her brother, Jacques Stevens and her sisters, Lydia Trimble, Louisa LeBlanc and Margaret Stevens.

Pallbearers will be Karl Prados, Sr., Karl Prados, Jr., Lester Jude Prados, Neil Stevens, Jake Prados, David Landry and Luke Stevens.
