Annette Marie Culver

New Iberia- Funeral services for Mrs. Benny Culver, the former Annette Marie Duplantis, age 51, will be held on Saturday October 26, 2013 at 2:00pm at David Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor Richard Green serving as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Friday October 25, 2013 at 3:00pm and conclude at 9:00am with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday October 26, 2013 at 8:00am until service time.

A native of Iberia parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Culver passed away on Wednesday October 23, 2013 at 4:04am at University Hospital and Clinics. Mrs. Culver was employed with Fremins Foods and also self-employed with a house cleaning business. Hard worker, wonderful, awesome, and a fighter are words that can best describe Mrs. Culver. She was a loving and often spoiled little sister, an amazing mother, and doting grandmother. She also was often considered a mother by many of her daughters friends. Ms. Annette enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Benny Culver of New Iberia; daughter, Ashley Culver of New Iberia; son, Kyle Culver and fiance Ashley Babineaux of St. Martinville; grandchildren, McKenzie Clair and Micah Romero both of New Iberia, Emma and Ellie Culver both of St. Martinville; siblings, Verly Duplantis of New Iberia, Jeanette D. Stelly and husband Johnny of Port Barre, Carroll Duplantis and wife Mary of New Iberia, Raymond Duplantis of New Iberia, Allen Duplantis and wife Cindy of New Iberia, Randy Duplantis of New Iberia, and Martha Mae Hebert of Gueydan; mother-in-law, Ruth Culver; numerous nieces and nephews; and three special friends often considered daughters, Erin Broussard, Shara Guidry, and Amy Delcambre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theard and Eunice Dupree Duplantis, granddaughter, Madison Romero; siblings, Kebby Duplantis, Jean Duplantis, and Mary Lou Alleman; nephews, Chad Stelly, and Ryan Walker.

Pallbearers will be David Landry, Justin Gary, Raymond Duplantis, Allen Duplantis, Randy Duplantis, and Rodney Culver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Duplantis, Micah Romero, and Kyle Culver.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and the staff at UHC for their care and compassion.
