Luke Bennett

Visitation will be on Friday, November 8, 2013, from 10:00 AM until services.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bennett died on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 10:11 AM in a New Iberia hospital. He was a retired Office Manager with Stric Lan Wireline. He loved fishing. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Marines.

He is survived by his children, Scott, Karl,and Melissa Bennett and his sisters, Elizabeth Appie Davis of New Iberia and Trudy LeBoeuf and her husband Francis of Prairieville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bennett, Sr. and Elverta Lancon Bennett;his daughter, Katrina Bennett; his sister, Catherine Murry; his brothers, Joe Bennett, Jr., Henry Bennett and Ronnie Bennett; his nephew, Eddie Harlow and his great nephew, Brandon Harlow.

The family would like give a special thank you to the attending physicians and the caring and friendly nursing staff in the ICU at Dauterive Hospital. They would also like to thank Lukes childhood friend Floyd and Shirley Albert who were very dear to my heart and spent time with me during my time of need.
