Ronald Charles Thibeaux Abbeville - Funeral services for Ronald Charles Thibeaux, 54, will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Congregational Church in Abbeville. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 7:00AM until 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. A resident of Abbeville Ronald passed away Monday, February 25, 2014 at his residence. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling; however his love and passion after family was NASCAR and NHRA. He leaves to cherish wonderful memories his wife Colette Ruffin Thibeaux; two daughters Chasity Rogers (Brad) of Youngsville, and Brittany Huntsberry (Eric) of Abbeville; one stepdaughter Kristie Ruffin of Abbeville; his father Claude Thibeaux (Linda) of Abbeville; his mother Audrey S. Robinson (Walter) of Abbeville; six grandchildren Jasmine Nolan, Kobe Ruffin, Ethan Huntsberry, Khirsten Briggs, Clent Briggs, and Braden Rogers; his sister Stephanie and her husband Lawrence Brannon of Winston Salem NC; and two brothers Michael and his wife Carla Matthews, and Terry and his wife Sheila Matthews; seven sister-in-laws and two brother-in-laws, Terry Broussard, Teresta Ruffin of Abbeville, Deshera Rideaux (Jerome) of Houston Texas, Willie Martin (Kenneth) of Carson CA, Kris Lewis (Morris) of Grand Maris La., LaDante Charles (Darnell) of Lafayette, Wille Ruffin Jr. (Kendra) of Inglewood CA.,and Bryant Ruffin of Abbeville. He is also survived by four uncles, five aunts, a host of nieces, and nephews other relatives and friends. Roland was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Agnes Milton and Wallace Shelvin, and his paternal grandparents Ernest Batiste and Syrila Joiner Batiste.
