Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ena Broussard Toups, 80, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. John Catholic Church of Henry with Fr. Manny Fernandez officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and resident of Henry, Mrs. Toups died at 6:04PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Abbeville General Hospital surrounded by her family. She retired from Sears after over 30 years of service and was a member of St. John's Ladies Altar Society. She enjoy visiting with her many friends and family and spending time at her camp on the Boston Canal. She is survived by two sons, Barry Toups and his wife Karla of Erath and Eric J. Toups of Henry; a daughter, Darlene T. Montet and her husband Gordy of Henry; a sister, Hazel B. Perrin of Henry; seven grandchildren, Justin Toups, Amber M. Broussard, Scott Toups, Shay Toups, Jana Toups, Alaina Montet, and Victoria Baudoin; two great grandchildren, Abigail Lanclos and Colt Toups; and two great grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelien "Fils" Broussard and Alzire Comeaux Broussard; and a brother, Henry Broussard. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Toups, Scott Toups, Matt Bowen, Eric Stubblefield, Kirk Broussard, and Randall Perrin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gordy Montet, Justin Broussard, Kerry Lange, and Treg Sonnier. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers for the compassionate care they provided Mrs. Toups in her home over the last three years; Concepts of Care Home Health of Vermilion; the staff of Maison du Monde Nursing Center; and the staff at Abbeville General Hospital. They would also like to thank her family and friends for the love, support, and care they showed as she took her final journey. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
