New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Mallon L. Disotell, 77, on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tracy King and Rev. David Jefferies officiating. Musical selections will be sung by Laurie Landry Duncan. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 9:00 AM until services. A native of Taylor, AR and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Disotell died on Friday April 4, 2014, at 9:35 AM upon arrival at a New Iberia hospital. He was an Engineer with Tide Water Marine for 40 years and the Vessel "Mallon Tide" was named in his honor. He served in the US Navy. He loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Billie Leveritt Disotell of New Iberia; his children, Tonya Disotell Corley and her husband Keith Corley and Mark Disotell and his wife Stacie Carter Disotell all of New Iberia; his sister, Duretha Disotell Hust and her husband Col. James Hust; his grandchildren, Tiffany Corley Decoux and her husband Russell, Taylor Disotell, Rebecca Corley, Madison Disotell and Rylie Disotell and his great grandchildren, Mallory, Reece and Sophie Decoux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Emmett Disotell and Cora Dees Disotell; his daughter, Melanie Disotell; his brothers, Elgibee, Ermon, Auston, Tilmon, Gail and Jerry Disotell and his sister, Dorothy Disotell Myers. Pallbearers will be Russell Decoux, Jr., Ryan Wiltz, Richard Disotell, Keith Corley, Donnie Lasher and Dustin Guillotte.
