Marguerite Rawlins Simoneaux

Patoutville - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Ordie Simoneaux, the former Marguerite Rawlins, 86, on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, from 9:00 AM until services. A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Patoutville, Mrs. Simoneaux died on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 6:25 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She loved gardening and her yard which was her passion. She was a great embroider thru the years for different generations and babysat her neighborhood children. She is survived by her children, Sonja Simoneaux of Lydia, Lonnie Simoneaux of Baldwin, Eileen Landry and her husband Ronnie of Lafayette and Connie Clark of Patoutville; her sister, Helen Morvant of Jeanerette; her grandchildren, Michelle Boutte, Dawn Morris, Candis Clark, Tracy Clark, Brian Landry, Bethany Kuhlman, Lonnie Joseph Simoneaux, Jr. and Shay Brasseaux and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ordie A. Simoneaux; her father, William Rawlins; her mother, Anita Migues Rawlins; he sister, Marjorie Andrus and her infant son, John Nathan Simoneaux. Pallbearers will be Spencer Paul Comeaux, Jake Paul Comeaux, Ronnie Landry, Patrick Boutte, Dennie Hebert and Seth Kidder. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Joseph Simoneaux, Jr., Marc Kuhlman and Chris Brasseaux.
