Lafayette - Funeral Services for Mr. David Gaspar, 60, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 9:00AM until time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 10:00AM. Interment will be at a later date. A native of Berwick and a resident of Lafayette Mr. Gaspar died at 11:30PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Maison de Lafayette after a long battle with cancer. He was a devoted catholic and member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He was also an avid Saints and sports fan. He is survived by two sons, Jeremy and Anna Gaspar of Little Rock, AR and Wes and Jessica Gaspar of Lafayette; two daughters, Kim and Jeremy Davenport of Blanchard, OK and Heather and Dale Lorenzo of Morgan City; a Brother Mitchell Gaspar; three sisters, Linda Keller, Faye Anslem, and Wendy Peeples; five grandchildren, Kinley Davenport, Rylan Davenport, Zach Lorenzo, Matt Lorenzo, and Josh Lorenzo and the mother of his children, Margie Holland of Norman, OK . He was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Gaspar, Sr. and Rachel " Poony" Bruney Gaspar; two brothers, Dudley Gaspar, Jr. and Ronald Michael Gaspar; and a sister, Debra Gaspar.
