New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Louis Oliver Vedrine, Sr. age 87 Thursday April 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Holy Family Mausoleum Chapel with Deacon Wade Broussard officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Thursday April 17, 2014 from 10:00 AM until services. A native and resident of New Iberia, Louis died at his residence Saturday April 12, 2014 at 9:00 AM. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. Mr. Vedrine was retired from Texaco as a pumper. He is survived by his daughters, Marian V. Thibodeaux of New Iberia; Melanie V. Lemoine of Arnaudville; Amy Vedrine of New Iberia; son, Louis O. Vedrine, Jr. of Lafayette; grandchildren, Tanya Lott and her husband Tom, Elkie David, Sommer Derouen, Laurie Yingling and her husband Craig, Glenn Thibodeaux, Jr. and his wife Becky, Kristen Abshire and her husband Joshua, Seth Lemoine and his wife Leila, Leah Lemoine , Blake Lemoine and his wife Eugenie, Dylan Segura, Zane Segura, Ramsey Vice, 15 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Anna Lou Champagne Vedrine, parents, Henry Vedrine and Viola Faucheaux, Daughter; Deborah Vedrine, brother; Henry "Pat" Vedrine, son in law; Glenn Thibodeaux, Sr. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Lemoine, Seth Lemoine, Glenn Thibodeaux Jr., Ryan Thibodeaux, Dylan Segura, Jacob Yarbrough.
