New Iberia- Funeral services will be held for Kenneth E. DuBose Jr., age 63, on Saturday April 19, 2014 at the David Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am with Reverend David Jefferies to serve as the officiant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 8:30am Saturday morning until service time. A native of San Antonio and resident of New Iberia, Mr. DuBose passed away Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 10:56pm at a local hospital. Ken graduated from New Iberia High School in 1970 and attended McNeese State University before graduating from Acadiana Technical School. He worked in New Orleans and for local companies in the New Iberia area. Ken was a "Ham" Radio operator, call sign KA50SR, and He enjoyed talking to people around the world. Kenneth is survived by his mother, Shirley DuBose of New Iberia; sister, Patty LaGrange of New Iberia; son Dwight DuBose and wife Theresa of New Iberia; three grandchildren, Patrick Rougon and wife Simone of Prairieville, Lindsey DuBose and Zachary DuBose both of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth E. DuBose Sr. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Don Carmichael, Dwight DuBose, Patrick Rougon, Michael Melancon, Jason Mouton, and Greg Duhon. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at New Iberia Manor North for the care given to Mr. DuBose.
