New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Larry Castille the former Barbara Chauvin, age 68, Thursday May 1, 2014, at 2:00 PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Neel officiating. Private interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday April 30, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Thursday May 1, 2014, at 8:00 AM until service. A native of Franklin and a resident of New Iberia, Barbara passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 at 8:10 PM in a New Iberia hospital. She was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan; she worked as a typesetter for the Franklin Banner Tribune and the Morgan City Review. Her hobbies included making scented candles, ceramics and painting. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Larry Castille of New Iberia; daughter, Kim Chauvin Hernandez and her husband James of Houma; step-sons Jamie and Matt Castille both of St. Martinville; Brother, Daniel Chauvin and his companion Lil, of Jennings; sisters Gloria Hebert of Bayou Vista; Carol Breaux of Baton Rouge; Kerry Fromenthal and her husband Ronald of Gonzales; 5 Grandchildren; mother-in-law, Theresa Melancon; sister-in-laws, Cheryl Blanchard, Tina Melancon, Sandy Pourciaux, Lauren Castille, Theresa Melancon, Mary Melancon; brother-in-laws, Jody Castille, Sal Melanson, Jr., Russell Castille, Joe Melancon. She was preceded in death her parents; Allie and Annie Seymore Chauvin, Sr., step father, Clifton McKinley, sisters Wanda Lee Sauce and Lois Hebert; brother, Allie Chauvin, Jr. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
