David "Doc" Quinn Hebert

Youngsville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. David Quinn "Doc" Hebert, 57, will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, May 26, 2014 at David's Funeral Chapel of Lafayette with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 12:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at a later date. A native and resident of Youngsville Doc died at 6:35PM on Friday, May 23, 2014. Doc had a keen memory and loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen. As he spoke he would frequently ask "You Follow Me?" He enjoyed telling people he attended LIFE University where he obtained his PhD. He also enjoyed fishing and crabbing. To those who loved him he'd say "I went away to a place where there is no sorrow; only smiles, laughter, and there is always a tomorrow." Doc, as he was known to everyone left behind his companion and best friend, Carolyn Andre' of Youngsville; a daughter, Kaynie Lyons of Crowley; two grandchildren, Abigail Lyons and Korynn Pitre; his parents, Pierre "Vergie" and Joan Vincent Hebert of Youngsville; two brothers, Bill Hebert and his companion Claire of Youngsville and Mark Hebert and his wife Melinda of Youngsville; two sisters, Rose Stoute and her husband Chris of Youngsville and Robin Broussard and her companion "Ponookie" of Youngsville; three god children, Danielle Stutes, Marcus Hebert, and Seth Landry; his step maternal grandmother, Ethelie Vincent of Youngsville; two step sons, Ben Picou and Richard Meaux; his beloved dog, Lil Baer; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and unlimited friends. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice. They also want to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph Hospice and to all those who gave time and care to Doc during his illness. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
