Patsy Hebert Kennedy

September 7, 1930 — June 6, 2014

New Iberia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Edgar J. "Tyo" Kennedy Jr., the former Patsy Hebert, age 83, on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux to serve as the Officiant. Reading from sacred scripture will be Seth Landry and J.C. Hebert. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Monday June 9, 2014 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm with a recitation of the rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday June 10, 2014 from 8:00am until service time. A native of Port Arthur, Tx. and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Kennedy passed away on Friday June 6, 2014 at 12:58pm at a Lafayette hospital. Mrs. Patsy was an avid bowler and would attend the national tournament every year. She also enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband and sisters. Mrs. Kennedy was a devout Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for many years. She was a loving woman and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Edgar J. "Tyo" Kennedy Jr. of New Iberia, daughter, Pamela Landry of New Iberia; grandchildren, Seth Landry and wife Malerie of Loreauville, Nicholas Landry and companion Danielle Vice both of New Iberia; and Samantha Landry of New Iberia; great granddaughter, Brielle Landry of Loreauville; sisters, JoAnn Hoffman of Lafayette, Janice Bourque of Church Point; and brother, J.C. Hebert and wife Loretta of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Josephine Hebert. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Seth Landry, Nicholas Landry, Barry Hebert, Chris Hebert, Paul Landry, and Larry Romero.
