William T. Elliott, Sr.

Loreauville - Funeral services will be conducted for William T. "Bill" Elliott, Sr., 86, on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, June 16, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM. A native of Morgan City and a resident of Loreauville, Mr. Elliott died on Friday, June 13, 2014, at 11:03 PM at his residence. He was a Production Foreman in the oil field industry and retired from Unocal. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association. He raised race horses, cattle and chickens and loved dancing, gardening and hunting. He also enjoyed following the stock market, listening to Classic Country music, reading Louis Lamour Books, watching John Wayne and Old Western movies and spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris Landry Elliott of Loreauville; his children, Joanne E. Ratcliff and her husband Ray of Gray, Bruce P. Elliott, Sr. and his wife Emilena of Thibodaux, Clay B. Elliott and his wife Sheryl of Bayou L'ourse, Kevin M. Elliott of Berwick, Kelly E. Parrish and her husband Greg of Loreauville, and Edie E. Suire of Lafayette; his sisters, May Jean Umlong of Utopia, TX, Mary Monse of Eufaula, OK and Nancy Davis of Aransas Pass, TX; his grandchildren, Sarah Elliott, Joshua Elliott Ratcliff, Zachary Elliott Parrish, Bruce Elliott, Jr., Casey Elliott, Jessica H. Holland, Melinda P. Dugas, Jacob P. Suire, Jordan Elliott Suire and Emily Clayre Elliott and his great grandchildren, Ryan Boudreaux, Annalise Dugas and Mr. Elliott Dugas. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Elliott; his mother, Eulah Price Elliott Seymour; his sons, William T. Elliott, Jr. and Michael E. Elliott; his sisters, Helen Stoute, Ina Claire Cannan, Edith Elliott, Elaine Elliott and Myrtle Elliott and his brother, Frank Elliott. Pallbearers will be Joshua Elliott Ratcliff, Zachary Elliott Parrish, Bruce Elliott, Jr., Jacob P. Suire, Jordan Elliott Suire, Ryan Boudreaux, Kelly Dugas and Chris Holland.
