Douglas J. Boutte

Coteau - Funeral services will be conducted for Douglas J. "T.B." Boutte, 84 on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, June 30, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM. A native of Lafayette Parish and a resident of Coteau, Mr. Boutte died at his residence on Saturday, July 28, 2014, at 6:50 AM. He retired as a Driller in the oil field industry where he was known as "Red". His passion was race horses and from Thursday thru Saturday he could be found at the Off Track Betting Parlor. He loved gardening and going to the casino. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Flora Belle Romero Boutte of Coteau; his children, Kernie Boutte and his wife Becky of Broussard, Kirby Boutte and his wife Jamie of Coteau and Troy Boutte of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Cody Boutte and his wife Kathleen of West Palmbeach, FL, Nicole Boudreaux and her husband Hal of New Iberia, Travis Boutte, Doug Boutte and his wife Danielle all of Coteau and Brant Boutte of New Iberia and his great grandchildren, Paige Boudreaux, Thor Boudreaux, Claire Boutte, Andrew Boutte and Kaden Boutte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lotard and Ava Suire Boutte; and his infant son, Donald Paul Boutte. Pallbearers will be Wilton Guidry, Gilbert Romero, Cody Boutte, Travis Boutte, Brant Boutte, Doug Boutte, Thor Boudreaux and Andrew Boutte Honorary pallbearers will be Cyrus Ryder, Larry Romero and Huey Romero.
