E. J. Comeaux, Sr.

New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for E. J. Comeaux, Sr., 90, at 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Mario Romero officiating. Burial will follow in the Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 8:00 AM until service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 PM. A native of Morgan City and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Comeaux died on Monday, July 14, 2014, at 7:03 PM at his residence. He retired from Shell Oil Company after 38 years of employment. He is survived by his son Butch Comeaux and his wife Cindy of New Iberia; his daughter, Wanda Thomas and her husband Fred of Delaware, OH; one sister; six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Joseph Comeaux, Elise Morgan Comeaux; four brothers; four sisters and a grandson, Warren Thomas. Pallbearers will be Evans Comeaux, Todd Thomas, Mark Thomas, Jake Delcambre, Irvin Davis and Charles Abshire.
