Baldwin- Memorial services will be held for Jerry Paul DeRouen Sr., age 56, on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 6:00pm at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette. Jerry Paul DeRouen Jr. will read the Obituary and Nicholas DeRouen will present the Eulogy. Visitation will begin on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 4:00pm and conclude at 7:00pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date. A native of New Iberia and resident of Baldwin, Mr. DeRouen passed away at his residence on Sunday July 20, 2014 at 4:40pm. In his spare time he enjoyed playing billiards, shooting his pellet guns, watching WWE wrestling, Sanford and Son, and Old Westerns movies. He would wake up every morning for Sheppard's Chapel. He loved riding his lawnmower, riding his bike, and visiting with his friends. He was a retired welder/fitter after over 30 years with Superior Service Company of Cade. His family will remember him for being a hard working man that supported his family, loved his grandkids, and was a blessing to many people. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda DeRouen Guillory and husband Chad of Jena, La.; sons, Jerry Paul DeRouen Jr. of New Iberia, Nicholas Theodore DeRouen and wife Hope of Mount Olive, Ms.; granddaughters, Gabrielle DeRouen of New Iberia, Angela DeRouen of Mississippi, Destiny Guillory of Jena, Kylie DeRouen of Crowley; sister, Gladys Broussard of New Iberia; uncle, Anton Lennis Guidry of New Iberia; former wife, Beverly DeRouen of New Iberia; godchild, Roger Troney Jr. of Mize, Ms.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet Angie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Rena Guidry DeRouen; brother, Harold Landry; sisters, Mary Ann DeRouen and Barbara Romero; and brother in law, Lucius Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Anton Lennis Guidry, Jerry Paul DeRouen Jr., Nicholas Theodore DeRouen, Ricky Romero, John Stansbury, Ken Romero, Roger Troney Jr., Chad Guillory, and Michael Lancelin Sr. The family would like to thank Superior Service Company for their thoughts and prayers.
