New Iberia - Funeral services and a rosary will be conducted for Joseph "Joe" Cuccio, Jr., 78, on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Patrick Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Cuccio died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 12:15 AM in a New Iberia nursing home. He was a retired pipe inspector and an Usher at St. Peters Catholic Church. He is survived by his brothers, Frank Cuccio and John Cuccio both of New Iberia and his sister, Catherine Primeaux of Bull Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cuccio, Sr. and Josephine Rosella Cuccio and his brothers, Sam and Lou Cuccio. The family would like to express a special thank you to Iberia Medical Center, Consolata Nursing Home, Heart of Hospice, Dr. David Rinaldi, Dr. Savaltore Buttachiand and Dr. Gerald Elias, Jr. Pallbearers will be Huey Blanchard, Tom Brisco, Andy Soileau, Neil Soileau, George Reeves and Dan Spiller.
