Loreauville - Funeral services will be conducted for Lois Marie Crochet, 79, on Monday, August 11, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Onuegbe officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, August 11, 2014, at 8:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home by the Catholic Daughters on Sunday at 6:00 PM. A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Miss. Crochet died on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 10:20 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She retired as a Payroll Clerk at the Iberia Parish School Board. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 50 years and attended the Adoration Chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Business Woman's Association for many years and two Pokeno clubs. She liked to play cards and bowled for years on a bowling league. She is survived by her brothers, Donald Crochet and his wife Pat of New Iberia and Harold Crochet, Sr. and his wife Jan of Loreauville; her sisters, Shellie C. Comb and her husband Oscar, Jr., Patricia Crochet all of Loreauville and Phyllis C. LeBlanc and her husband Frank of New Iberia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Mae Richard Crochet. The family request memorials to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Completion Campaign.
