Lafayette - A celebration of the life of Carrie Lynn Dugas, 42, will be held Saturday August 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM in David Funeral Home with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday August 16, 2014 from 12:00 PM until time of services. Carrie was a native of Youngsville and a resident of Corpus Christi Texas, passed away Monday August 4, 2014 with her Mother by her side after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her Mother Vivian Dugas, father Elwood "Boogas" Dugas, sister Abbe, Jolene, Joan, and Jamie; brothers Raymond and Clint; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She will also be missed by her godmother Zelma Jackson, also her friend and fiance' Gary Ricke, self adopted mom & pop, someone close to her heart Vern Cook. A very special cousin, Elizabeth Brown which was like a sister to her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lucille and Willis Trahan and Bertha and Clinton Dugas.
