New Iberia - Funeral services will be conduct for Mrs. Marilyn "Preacher" Lemoine Landry, 76, on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 6:30 PM. A native of Alexandria and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Landry died on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 10:30 AM at her residence. She loved her grandchildren, camping, quilting, sewing and fishing. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church Ladies Altar Society and a Lay Minister. She was known as Granny or Nanny to everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Minos J. Landry of New Iberia; her son, Curt Chaudoir of Alexandria; her daughter, Vicki Chicola and her husband Mickey of Pineville; her sister, Rita Lemoine Tolbert of Pineville; her step-daughter, Deb Landry of Houston; her step-sons, Bryan Landry and Joey Landry and his wife Pam all of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Grant Chaudoir and his wife Keisha of New Iberia, Nicole Gunter and her husband Jason of Deville, James Chaudoir and his wife Mary of Lecompte, Michael Chicola of Pineville, Josh Landry of Lafayette and Matthew Landry of New Iberia; her great grandchildren, Brianna Long of Haughton, Destiny Chicola of Pineville, Cody Gunter of Deville, Madelyn Chaudoir of Haughton, Adalyn Chaudoir of Lecompte, Beau Gunter of Deville and Cohen Chaudoir of Lecompte and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Roy Lemoine and Esla Plauche Lemoine; her son, Mark Chaudoir; her sister, Joyce Lemoine and her brother-in-law, Jack Tolbert. Pallbearers will be Joey Paul Landry, Bryan Wade Landry, Jody Osmer, Grant Chaudoir, James Chaudoir and Mickey Chicola. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Cocoa, Clyde Rougeou, Gerald Patin, Joe Guillory, Don Tolbert, Douglas Tolbert and Allen Badeaux.
