New Iberia- Funeral services for Mrs. Julianna "Julie" Baranco Lusk, age 48, will be held on Monday September 1, 2014 at 11:00am at the David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan DeRouen to serve as the Celebrant with musical accompaniment by Jonathon Sundberg. Interment will follow at Baudoin Cemetery in Youngsville. Visitation will begin on Sunday August 31, 2014 at 4:00pm and conclude at 9:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00am and conclude at 10:45am before the service begins. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, "Julie" as everyone knew her by, passed away on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 8:13am at her residence. Her hobbies included tanning and walking. Julie worked as a waitress at Jane's Seafood and Chinese Restaurant in New Iberia for over 20 years. With an outgoing personality and amazing people skills Julie never met a stranger. She was a loving, caring, simple, and soft-hearted woman that enjoyed all the little things life had to offer. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 18 years, Chad Lusk; mother, Jeanne Hebert Baranco; sons, Jonathon Sundberg and wife Brittany, Lance Lusk; sisters, Theresa Fitch, Roberta Adams and husband Roger, Bernadine Myers, Martina Lasalle; and brother, Timothy Baranco and wife Alice all of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Baranco; and brother, Patrick Baranco. Pallbearers will be Chad Lusk, Timothy Baranco, John Lusk Jr., Lance Lusk, Brock LeBlanc, and Shaun Dugas. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jonathon Sundberg. The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, the 2nd floor nursing staff of Iberia Medical Center, and the nursing staff of University Hospital and Clinics, formerly UMC, for all of their care and compassion.
