Lafayette - Funeral services will be held for Joan Ray Dunn , 78, on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11:00AM at St Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Steve LeBlanc Pastor of St. Pius Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home Friday, August 29, 2014 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM with a Rosary to be held at 6:00PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00AM until time of services. Burial will follow Tuesday September 2, 2014 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball LA. Mrs. Dunn a native Manhattan, New York and resident of Lafayette passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at River oaks Assisted Living Center of Lafayette. She was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp, a member of the New Acadian, a Lector at St. Basil Catholic Church, and an avid mystery book reader; also a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all. She was survived by her two sons Michael and wife Suerds Dunn of Youngsville, and Scott and his wife Lisa Dunn of Richardson Tx., her two daughters, Vivian Lorraine Dunn Dollar of Lake Charles LA., Jacqueline Patricia and her husband Joey John of Lafayette; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Willard Dunn; her parents William James and Margret Kissane Ray; one daughter Tracy Lynn Dunn; and one brother.
