Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Troy Noel the former Amy Brown, 41, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum. A native of Vicksburg, MS and a resident of Perry Mrs. Noel died on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She enjoyed sports with her boys and taking them to museums, and other historic sites; camping with her family; was an avid LSU sports fan; and an avid reader. She touched countless live as a chemistry and physics teacher at Erath High School over the past 16 years. She was also part of the state BETA Committee. She is survived by her husband of 15 Years, Troy Noel of Perry; two sons, Alex Francis Noel and Brandon Paul Noel both of Perry; a step daughter, Jayde Noel of Berwick; her parents, Jerry D. and Estelle LeBlanc Brown of Delcambre; a brother, Richard Nolan Brown of Delcambre; and her father and mother in law, Floyd Joseph and Millie Trahan Noel of Maurice. She was preceded in death by a sister, Amanda Brown; her maternal grandparents, Carmen and Richard LeBlanc; and her paternal grandparents, Alton and Ada Brown. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Noel, Tate Louviere, Jason Jeansonne, Keith LeBlanc, Toby LeBlanc, and Tommy Byler. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Richard Brown. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St.(337)937-0405 will be in charge of the arrangements.
