Hayden "Rocky Joe" James Louviere

Loreauville- A Mass of Christian Burial for Hayden James "Rocky Joe" Louviere, age 50, will be held on Thursday September 18, 2014 at 2:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Visitation will begin Thursday morning at 8:30am and conclude at 1:45pm with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00am. A native and resident of Loreauville, "Rocky Joe" as he was affectionately known passed away on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at 2:05am at his residence. Armed with a personality that drew people towards him, "Rocky Joe" made friends everywhere he went. As a bachelor for most of his life, he considered his friends to be his family. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, tending to his vegetable garden, and raising his hunting beagles. He also enjoyed the countless memories and laughs had at the camp on Bird Island Chute. Survivors include his sister, Lumina Comeaux and husband Eastin of Loreauville; sister-in-law, Patricia Louviere of Loreauville; niece, Angie Broussard and husband Marcus of TX; nephews; Waylon Louviere and wife Jennifer of Loreauville, Michael Louviere Sr. of Loreauville, Lelon "Noogie" Comeaux and wife Heidi of Coteau Holmes, Cordell "Puttie" Comeaux and wife Angelle of Catahoula; great nieces and nephews, Mattie, Marcus, Matthew, Macie, Mack, Mason, Marcel, and Malcolm Broussard, Mackenzie, Luke, Kassie, Michael Jr., Brynlee, Jarod, and Triston Louviere, Drake and Drew Morris, John, Cain, and Lindsey Comeaux, Brianna and Angelique Barras. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke "Sue Sue" and Vernice Rebert Louviere; brothers, Kernis and Melvin "Johnny Boy" Louviere; niece, Tonya Comeaux; and great niece, Laura Comeaux. Pallbearers will be Cordell "Puttie" Comeaux, Lelon "Noogie" Comeaux, Waylon Louviere, Michael Louviere Sr., Armand Berard, and J.C. Miller. The family would like to thank Brandi with Hospice Compassus for the wonderful care given to "Rocky Joe". And a special thanks to all the family and friends that came to help.
