Dorothy Jean Blanchard

February 20, 1941 — September 16, 2014

New Iberia- Mrs. Dorothy Jean Burgess Blanchard, age 73, passed away on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at 3:24am at a local hospital. Mrs. Blanchard enjoyed riding horses in her younger days and collecting antiques. She will forever be remembered as a caring, giving, loving mother, grandmother, and friend with a kind heart and sweet tooth. She is survived by her sons, Lance Blanchard and wife Celeste, Terrance Blanchard; grandchildren, Sydni Blanchard, Jake Blanchard, all of New Iberia, Cory Oubre and wife Amber of Fayetteville, GA.; and great grandsons, Holden and Cooper Oubre of Fayetteville, GA. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes scattered at a later date. Friends and family are encouraged to sign the online guestbook.
