New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Tia M. Harrington, 48, on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 8:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM. A native of Plaquemine Parish and a resident of Lydia, Mrs. Harrington passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11:40 AM upon arrival at a local hospital. She was a "Loving Wife, Mother and Daughter". She is survived by her husband, Rodney Genest of Lydia; her daughters, Sarah Genest and her boyfriend Brayton Bonin and Emily Genest all of Lydia; her mother, Glenda Miller DeViller of Erath; her step-father, William DeViller of Erath; her sister, Tara Harrington of Abbeville; her grandmother, Ozite Miller of Abbeville; her father-in-law, Thomas Genest, Jr. of Lydia; her mother-in-law, Ruth Genest of Lydia; her brother-in-law, Mark Genest of Lydia and her special friend, Pattie Schexnayder of Lydia. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Harrington. Pallbearers will be Brayton Bonin, Freddy Genest, Jeff McNeil, David Vincent, Dorsey Barras, III and Toby Primeaux.
