Ronald James Oubre Sr.

Abbeville - Funeral services for Ronald "Big Daddy" Oubre Sr., 68, will be held Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 2:00PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville with FR. Pastor Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be held Monday September 22, 2014 from 1:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary recited at 6:00 and resume Tuesday September 23, 2014 from 10:00AM until time of services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum Ronald was a native of Loreauville and resident of Abbeville. Ronald was a veteran of the US Navy obtaining the rank of YN3, and he retired as head roustabout with 25 years of service for Texaco Oil. He then went on to also retire from Apache Oil as Production foreman. He passed away Friday September 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Survivors include his wife of 31 years Patricia LeBleu Oubre of Abbeville; his mother Eunice Judice Oubre; two daughters Monica and her husband Michael Martens of Abbeville, and Yvette and her husband Richael Breaux of New Iberia; one son Ronald J. Oubre Jr. and his wife Trisha of Loreauville; his grandchildren McKenna Martens, Morgan Grace Martens, Noah Doiron, Matthan Doiron, Ryan Breaux and Danny Burch; two great grandchildren; his niece Kelli Patin of Orange Texas; his nephew Derek Patin of Sunrise Florida. Ronald was preceded in death by his father Lewis Oubre. David Funeral Home 2600 Charity St. 337-893-3777 is in charge of arrangements.
