Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lee Blanchard the former Odette Gondron, 90, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 26, 2014 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Loreauville with Rev. John G. Breaux officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Loreauville on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5:30PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. A native of Loreauville and a resident of Lafayette Mrs. Odette died at 1:29AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her residence. She was known for her needlework which included embroidering, quilting, sewing and tailoring. She was also an active volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima Church and School. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lee James Blanchard of Lafayette; two sons, Andrew James Blanchard and his wife Darwin of Dallas, TX and James Lee Blanchard and his wife Deborah of Covington; four grandchildren, Joshua Blanchard, Aimee Pellafone, Wesley Blanchard, and Eric Blanchard; and five great grandchildren, Nicholas Blanchard, Laura Blanchard, Ian Blanchard, Carson Blanchard, and Griffin Blanchard. She was preceded in death her parents, Emile N. Gondron, Sr. and Alzire Broussard Gondron; three brothers, Sidney Gondron, Emile N. Gondron, Jr., and Burtin Gondron; and two sisters, May Dore and Cecile Dionne. Serving as pallbearers will be members of her family and friends.
