Beatrice G. "Nana" Hebert

New Iberia- Funeral services for Mrs. Howard J. Hebert Sr, the former Beatrice Guidry will be held on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 1:00pm at the David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andrew Starks to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Memorial Park. Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 8:30am and conclude at 12:45pm, before services begin. A native of Breaux Bridge, and resident of New Iberia, "Nana" as she was affectionately known passed at on Thursday October 9, 2014 at 10:55pm at her daughter's residence at the age of 88. Mrs. Hebert was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Charles Molbert for a number of years before retiring. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, watching TV, and playing Pokeno. In her younger days she enjoyed line dancing and knew over 60 different line dances. She loved caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most importantly she loved the Lord and was a member of the Cornerstone Cowboy Church. Mrs. Hebert is survived by her daughter, Linda Norris and husband Wayne of St. Martinville; son, Howard "Chip" Hebert Jr. and wife Meta of Loreauville; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Hebert Sr.; parents, Joe and Armide Guidry; daughter, Sharon Hebert; grandson, Patrick John Terrell Jr.; and brother, Nathan Guidry. Pallbearers will be Chaz Hebert, Joseph Norris, Tyler Abshire, Seth Poirrier, Chance Leblanc, and Justin Derouen. Honorary Pallbearer will be Blake Doucet. The family would like to thank LA Hospice and Palliative Care, and Mrs. Hebert hospice nurse Kristen for all the care and compassion given.
