Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Lambert Joseph "Tiger" Buteau, Sr., 84, on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Masuoleum. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 8:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 6:30 PM. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Buteau died on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 10:32 PM at his residence. He was a retired Assistant Engineer with M A Patout & Son Sugar Mill after 38 years of employment. He was a true Louisiana Sportsman who enjoyed shrimping, fishing, and gator hunting with his family. He also loved gardening. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace Broussard Buteau of Jeanerette; his children, Barry Buteau and his wife Mary Lee of Patoutville, Grace Landry and her husband David of Jeanerette, Lannie Buteau and his wife Elaine of Patoutville and Lambert "Joey" Buteau, II of Jeanerette; his brothers, Howard Buteau of Jeanerette, Edwin "Nookie" Buteau, Raymond Buteau both of New Iberia, Curris Buteau and Rickey Buteau both of Jeanerette; his sister, Audrey Derouen of Jeanerette; his grandchildren, Tracie Landry, Amy Buteau, Phillip Buteau, Dr. David Landry, Dr. Christopher Landry, Alaina Haydel, Christina Buteau and Madison Buteau and his great grandchildren, Bailey Buteau, Christian Landry, Zachary Landry and Ava Grace Landry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Marion Legnon Buteau; his brothers, Ray and Allen Buteau and his grandchild, Kody Buteau. Pallbearers will be Barry Buteau, Lannie Buteau, Lambert "Joey" Buteau, II, Dr. Christopher Landry, Phillip Buteau, Al Bodin and Marty Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Haydel, Dr. David Landry and Rivers Patout.
