Abbeville - Funeral Services for Mrs. Eddie Landry, Sr. the former Mazie Levine, 94, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Bishop Raymond Captville officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Triumph Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 8:00AM until 11:30AM at David Funeral Home of Abbeville; then 12:00PM until the services at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. A native and lifelong resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Mazie died at 10:50AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was a member of The Greater Rosehill Baptist Church and served on the Mission Ministry. She was also known for her love to sew, quilting and cooking. She is survived by four sons, Eddie Landry, Jr. and his wife Mary of Abbeville, Cleveland Landry, Sr. and his wife Josie Ann of Abbeville, Gilbert Landry, Sr. and his wife Rose of Abbeville, and Murphy Landry and his wife Ella of New Iberia; six daughters, Sally Alexis of Abbeville, Maudrey Sargeon and her husband James of Houston, TX, Retha Green and her husband Loveless, Sr. of Abbeville, Edna Taylor and her husband Alvin, I. of Abbeville, Delta Willis and her husband Alvin, Sr. of Abbeville, and Gaynell Scott and her husband Duryea of El Paso, TX; a special niece who was like a sister, Rita Ford of Abbeville; three god children, Velta Hill, Worris Levine, Sr., and James Levine, Sr.; fifty-three grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Landry, Sr.; her parents, Langdon Levine, Sr. and Sally Hill Levine; four sons, Gustin Landry, Saven Landry, Sr., Mervine Landry, and Ricky Landry; a daughter, Mary Levine; and all her siblings. Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Landry, Steven Landry, Sr., Brian Landry, Eric Alexis, Kenneth Landry, Loveless Green, Jr., Alvin Willis, Jr., and Alvin Taylor, II. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Landry, Jr., Cleveland Landry, Sr., Gilbert Landry, Sr., Murphy Landry, Worris Levine, Sr., James Levine, Sr., Joseph Shane Landry, Larry Hebert, Jr., Damian Landry.
