Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Benny M. Bouy, the former Barbara Ransonet, 74, on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home 1101 Trotter St. in New Iberia on Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 8:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 6:00 PM. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Bouy passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 10:45 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She loved going to the casino and playing cards. She is survived by her daughters, Penny Champagne and her husband Ricky, Shelia Racca and her husband Ricky, Sandra Thomas and Christy Bouy; her son, Dennis Bouy; her brother, Tommy Ransonet and his wife Maurine; her sister, Sharon Deslatte and her husband George all of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Shawn, Michelle, Joseph, Leslie, Christopher, Danielle and Lacy Picard and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny M. Bouy and her parents, Joseph and Lillian Deslatte Ransonet. Pallbearers will be Shawn Picard, Joseph Picard, Christopher Picard, Ricky Champagne, Ricky Racca and Dennis Bouy. Honorary pallbearer will be Logan Bonin.
