ABBEVILLE - Memorial services for Ralph Walter Chauvin Jr. will be 2:30PM Wednesday November 5, 2014 in David Funeral Home of Abbeville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:30PM until service time, with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating. Ralph Jr., a native and life resident of Abbeville passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 in his residence. He was a body man for Broussard Pontiac for many years, he also worked for Omega Protein as a warehouse clerk. He was a Cajun musician and loved to play drums. Ralph Jr. is survived by his wife Betty Ann Moreland Chauvin of Abbeville; Two sons Ralph Walter Chauvin III and wife Valerie of Lake Charles and Christopher James Chauvin and wife Kayla of Kaplan; daughter Valerie Anne Chauvin Duplantis and husband Jessie of Abbeville; two brothers Rodney James Chauvin and wife Shirley of Kaplan; Raywood Jude Chauvin and wife Christine of Abbeville; two sisters Ramona Faye Harrington and husband Joe of Abbeville and Rebecca Ann Le Blanc and husband Steve of Rayne; Four Grandchildren Blake Bourque, Hunter Chauvin, Ethan Chauvin, and Ebon Chauvin; numerous nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph Walter Sr. and Delta Mae Landry Chauvin; step father Auron "Tex" Cormier; sister Rose Marie Chauvin Trahan; grandson Iain Chauvin David Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements 2600 Charity St. Abbeville, LA 70510 (337) 893-3777
